SPECIAL NOTE: June 21st is the Fête de la Musique all over France. We were lucky to be able to watch the whole Fête on TV5 Monde televised directly from Marseille, in Provence. We watched it from 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. It was fan-tas-tique!! We wish you were all there with us.
Earlier in the evening our Ciné Club was hosted at the home of Angie and Steve Herrington in North Naples. Our members viewed “Intimate Strangers“ (“Confidences trop intimes”), a French film starring Fabrice Luchini and Sandrine Bonnaire. After the film, the members shared a brief discussion. We also enjoyed a buffet of chicken, diverse salads, French cheese, and let’s not forget, the baguette! … and for dessert we savored chocolate covered cream puffs.
We are happy to have this little time together to be able to find out more about the French language and culture through French movies. We hope to see many more of you next time.
